This is how all started...
SHARE Fox Valley, (Supporting Hope And Respecting Everyone), formerly the Women"s Power Lunch Committee, was founded by Stephanie Kifowit in 2009. Her vision is a collaboration of professional women, recognizing and contributing to the needs of our community. The committee of women established themselves as SHARE Fox Valley in October, 2013.
In 2009 Stephanie conceptualized, coordinated, marketed and raised approximately $1,000 with a total of 30 guests at the first luncheon. Since then she has strategically recruited area women professionals to help in expanding her vision throughout the community. Her recruiting efforts issued success year after year by significantly increasing attendance and raised funds.
In 2011 SHARE partnered with Mutual Ground, to champion their mission and purpose throughout Fox Valley, and surrounding communities. Mutual Ground Inc. was founded in 1975, with the goal of providing services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault and their families. Mutual Ground is one of the largest and oldest domestic violence shelters in the state. All services are victim-centered and focus on advocacy that empowers each individual to make his/her own decisions.
In 2012 the first Woman Of Power was selected and honored at the luncheon. This award was adopted to be for women, selected by women who are doing amazing things in the community. Recipients range from professionals and business owners to community volunteers, whose efforts bring positive change to our society.
